Active Learning in Higher Education

This book explores perspectives on active learning as creative discovery. It draws on the experiences of academics, learning technologists and clinical practitioners, and invites the reader to think about our conceptualisations of active learning and to move beyond mere demonstrations of its effectiveness.

Wendy A. Garnham is co-founder of the Active Learning Network, a Reader in Psychology and Director of Student Experience for the Central Foundation Years at University of Sussex. Isobel R. Gowers is Academic Lead for Active Inclusive Learning at Anglia Ruskin University and involved in the Active Learning Network both locally and globally.
