Beschreibung

This book presents a detailed theoretical and experimental treatment of real-time techniques for continuous monitoring of vibrating structures. Focus on real time algorithms, data reduction methods and inverse techniques in this book enable rapid identification of the structural parameters, affected by damage or causes.

Portrait

Basuraj Bhowmik is an active researcher in the field of real-time built infrastructure health assessment and wind turbine monitoring. Overall, his work established and advanced the field of real-time detection through a comprehensive treatment of first-order eigen perturbation systems. He is presently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, GITAM School of Technology, Bengaluru, India. Budhaditya Hazra is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. He is an active researcher in the area of structural health monitoring. Dr Hazra has more than fifteen years of research experience in all aspects of vibration engineering including modal analysis and testing, stochastic dynamics, earthquake engineering, and sensing and inspection technologies. Vikram Pakrashi is an Associate Professor in UCD School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering. He is the Director of UCD Centre for Mechanics and active in Science Foundation Ireland centre MaREI and UCD Energy Institute. Vikram remains active in the topic of dynamics and its applications in built infrastructure systems.
