Kids and Violence

This book examines overt and covert violence occurring in the school setting involving students, school personnel, and school policy, highlighting a level of violence that is often hidden, ignored, or subtly tolerated. It provides the latest research findings on issues including bullying, dating violence, and the use of corporal punishment, and suggests preventative measures to address these issues. Kids and Violence: The Invisible School Experience shows how social workers and policymakers can provide leadership in researching, developing, and delivering prevention interventions and creating policies to help stop the harmful cycle of violence in our schools.
