Rose's Run

In a series of humorous incidents and hair-raising episodes, Rose Okanese, mother of two, is relentless as she battles a rapacious, old spirit woman to save her teen daughter, while training her out-of-shape and tired body to face down the reigning marathon queen of the Rez.

Dawn Dumont is the author of Nobody Cries at Bingowhich was published by Thistledown Press in 2011 and was shortlisted for the City of Edmonton Award and the Alberta Reader's Choice. She writes and performs comedy across Canada and sometimes sneaks into local poetry nights. You can also catch her on the APTN reality comedy series, Fish out of Water which she co-hosted with comedian Don Kelly.
