Jesus invited His true followers to join Him in the kingdom of heaven, and He said that it is already active here on this earth and that it will always exist in our future as the house of His heavenly Father. How can this be accomplished by following Him? What are the trials we must endure in this world to live already in the kingdom, if that is possible? Our whole world is undoubtedly under the control of the evil one. Nonetheless, Jesus, as the new Adam, opened the gate of Paradise for all of us when He came into our world, but warned us that the way to our spiritual freedom from Satan's bondage is hard, the gate He opened is narrow, and only a few can go through it. If we manage to go through the narrow gate through our spiritual discipline, Christ is the bridge that will take us to God's kingdom and is the only bridge that exists. However, this bridge fades and even vanishes with sin and disregard for the will of God for our lives. Fortunately, Jesus' gift to His true followers, the Holy Spirit, can act as a blind helper for us, protecting us and guiding us at every step when in need, provided we always strive to offer him a pure abode within our hearts. Then, our Christ-bridge will shine in front of us, welcoming us to the house of His Father, the kingdom of God.
