Bridging ancient mathematical traditions-like India's Sulva Sutras and the ideas of Pythagoras-with today's cutting-edge developments in Artificial Intelligence, the book reimagines history as a dynamic, living discipline of technological and philosophical evolution. It traces the profound legacy of ancient Indian mathematical traditions-from the geometrical precision of the Sulva Sutras (circa 800 BCE), used to construct fire altars with mathematical accuracy, to the poetic problem-solving elegance of Leelavati by Bhaskaracharya in the 12th century. The book stands out by merging historical scholarship, computing innovation, and ethical foresight. It uniquely frames technology not as a disruption but as a civilizational lens-one that shapes identity, culture, and the future of societies, especially in contexts like India, where tradition and innovation intertwine. Saroj Kumar Rath, PhD, has written extensively on the history of India's agonizing over rival powers. His history book, Fragile Frontiers: The Secret History of Mumbai Terror Attacks (Routledge, 2014), has been used as course material by leading universities in Europe, Asia, Australia and North America. Fragile Frontiers is adjudged as 'Best Terrorism Book of All Time'. Saroj has edited two volumes on cyber security in India, India's Cyber Security and Securing Digital India, published in 2015 and 2016. He is a visiting Professor at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in Monterrey, Mexico, and an Assistant Professor of History at the University of Delhi. From 2008 to 2013, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Hosei University, Tokyo. Before that, he had a brief stint at Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia, from 2007 to 2008. Abhishek Priyadarshi, PhD, is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the College of Vocational Studies, University of Delhi, a position he has held since 2023. Before this, he held teaching positions across several prestigious colleges within the University of Delhi. Before transitioning into academia, Abhishek was an ace Assistant Commandant in the Central Reserve Police Force under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, from 2012 to 2014 as a leader of paramilitary where he devoted his time to the strategic security of India. His forthcoming book, titled Partition and the Congress Muslim League, is set to contribute significantly to the discourse on Partition and communal politics in pre-independent India. He has successfully received grants from the Indian Council for Social Science Research, Ministry of Education, and Indian Council for Historical Research to organize national and international symposiums.
