Addressing Psychosocial Issues in Physical Education

This textbook takes P. E. teachers through common psychosocial challenges PK-12 students face and ways to support them within and beyond the gym. Each chapter blends theoretical perspectives and real-world examples to foster relationships that support their social, emotional, and physical health, and ultimately, their academic progress.

Matthew R. Martin is a Professor of Physician Education at Central Connecticut State University (CCSU), where he has been teaching a Psychosocial Aspects of Physical Education course for 13 years, with 24 years teaching experience working with PETE undergraduate and graduate students.
