Sensing Art in the Atmosphere

This book engages artistic interventions in the aerial elements to investigate the aesthetics and politics of atmosphere. It traces the potential of artistic, community-driven experiments to amplify our sensing of atmosphere.

Sasha Engelmann is a creative geographer engaged in environmental sensing through artistic, collective and collaborative practices. She is Lecturer in GeoHumanities at Royal Holloway University and a long-term member of the Aerocene Community. With Sophie Dyer she leads the feminist amateur radio project Open Weather.
