This book studies the success or failure of the NIE of Bangladesh and Pakistan. It will of interest to development economics, political science, sociology, and comparative politics in Area Studies.

Shahrukh Rafi Khan is currently a research associate at Mount Holyoke College, South Hadley, Massachusetts. He has published extensively in refereed journals and authored and edited numerous books.
