As a freelance writer and lifelong student of Pennsylvania and Illinois history, she has authored books on her favorite topics, including Johnstown, Pennsylvania and More than Petticoats: Remarkable Illinois Women. Stacy Dahle has worked as an educator for 32 years, primarily in Schaumburg School District 54 in Illinois, enriching the lives of students ranging in age from K through 8th grade. She sees the world not only as a teacher but also as a wide-eyed student, absorbing new sights, cultures, and experiences. Stacy is a curious and adventurous traveler who seeks lesser known places that brim with charm, history, crafts, and music. She's currently retired and resides in Downers Grove, Illinois, with her adoring husband, Jim, and her loving Yorkie poo, Nash.
